juste posting to let anyone who is interested know that ihav created a new group on facebook called "Boycott Moz" for all those jilted fans disappointed by Morrissey's statement last year in which he declared he would not be touring in Canada. anyone who would like to join is welcome.

He boycotted Canada for a good reason and we, as fans, have a right to respect his wishes.

Yeah right as if I am going to boycott that legend... he's bigger than Canada itself and it's a big country|! :lol:

Being a fanatic veggie and a big Morrissey fan, I am somewhat in doubt about the boycot myself. I'm sure lot of Canadians don't support the hunting themselves and are being punished off for an act of government.

But then, if I were an artist I would not want to tour countries practising capital punishment, also because of moral objections. So guess I should not judge Morrissey for this, that'd be hypocrite.

Hence why I find it hard to judge Morrissey. I'd do a similar thing if I were in his place, so I'm not in the right place to judge him for not touring Canada. When all is concerned, I'm glad there's still a few artists left who put their ideals in front of money and fame.

Someone wrote a poem in the student mag and it mentioned moz, saying the poet wanted to be like him. but 'that he wasnt manc and had thin hair' :blink:

not too good this poem, I guess it's a "bit" pretentious.

Sent them some for this issue Andy.. will let you know if I am succesful.

I was pondering on what you said about Camus and absurdism and I concur ... God I must read L'estrange ! It made me think that what I wrote did kind of fit.... definitely... and the amazing thing is that when I wrote the play I hadn't came across Camus! Also looking at the poem it is prententious (No i DIDNT WRITE IT)! but it is pretty resonant.

Who said Art doesnt imitate life???!!
