I decree today that life is simply taking and not giving
England is mine, it owes me a living
But ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
Oh, ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No, we cannot cling to those dreams
Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?
I dunno...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am I still ill...?

Awww, yay, a Nick Drake fan <!--emo&:)-->Image<!--endemo--> Nick Drake's amazing, he's got such a beautiful voice and I love the way he combines other genres in with folk, like the jazzy and gospel edges on Poor Boy. Another musician that the world lost all-too soon, though. Did you know Brad Pitt's a fan??

Yeah I heard that Radio 2 show Brad Pitt did about Nick Drake. I've only just recently discovered Drake, I got the Tapestry album at Christmas and I haven't stopped playing it. It's annoying he only did little material as account to his death, but it's good people are discovering a genuinlly talented musician. My music teacher hates him, but then again he is a prog rock fan <!--emo&<_<-->Image<!--endemo--> The song Black Eyed Dog is really haunting. Do you know how he died?

Suicide, but I don't know how he actually did it. Overdose as a guess.

Ah, here you go: <a href='http://www.algonet.se/~iguana/DRAKE/NDdef.html#d' target='_blank'>Nick Drake article</a>

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> Nick Drake died November 25,1974 in his parents' home in Tanworth-in-Arden. He died in his sleep around 6 am in the morning. Cause of death: An overdose of a tricyclic antidepressant and insomniac called Tryptizol (Tryptasol?). Nick used this medicine as a sleeping pill. The coroner declared it a suicide, but if he deliberately meant to take his life, we will never know.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Thanks for the info, it's such a great shame that we have lost too many great talents to suicide. I think I'll go out and buy Five Leaves Left tommorow.

Wow, a little more than 2 years pass and this list is almost entirely wrong now. Strange how much I have changed :-P

-Oh!-
Is THAT the best you can do ?
So came his reply :
