Well I've been liking some Marvin Gaye, Marlena Shaw and Curtis Mayfield recently
I love Sitting on The Dock of The Bay by Otis Redding too.
I'm not sure if that helps, anything you think I'd like really <!--emo&:)-->Image<!--endemo-->
thanks!

ooh, I was looking for a track called Big Brother by Stevie Wonder a while back too, I'd be much obliged if anyone could help out there.

Ed, this is a cover of a classic, done by The Meters. Don't know who wrote it originally, but this version is kind of stripped down:

<a href='http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1X1QN123BPU0D1AH4E8LOJMK4Q' target='_blank'>http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1X1QN12...0D1AH4E8LOJMK4Q</a>

Some Al Green, on the offchance that you haven't heard it (later covered by Orange Juice):

<a href='http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0HYO6D9OQZP911GB3OAQAUP66T' target='_blank'>http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0HYO6D9...911GB3OAQAUP66T</a>

(On a slightly related note, 'Happiness Is Being With The Detroit Spinners' is one of my alltime favourite albums. However, my mp3s of it are ones I've nicked off my vinyl copy- crap quality. I don't even know if it has a UK CD release, to be honest, but if anyone has any of the tracks from it somehow...)

This is a shot in the dark...

I heard this song (listening to the retro 'resurrection' program on radio this past weekend) and fell in love with this song (whose melody I've now forgotten!!!). Tried googling what title I thought it was with no luck. I emailed the DJ, who emailed me back (!).

The song is 'She Won't Wear That Collar', by the New Marines, 1983 on vinyl only. (Stewart Copeland guests on percussions, a small tidbit.)

Still can't find it on the p2p networks (but I did find the record on ebay), anyone possibly heard it, and even better, have it on mp3?

Wishful thinking

Does someone have an MP3 of Rhapsody (Siouxsie & The Banshees) and Marian (Sisters of Mercy)?

I'm into Siouxsie but only have the record on vinyl yet, and no tools to convert to MP3 myself. As for the Sisters: Marian is about the only song I like...

I am in an internet cafe right now (as I am on a trip to Dublin) but back home tomorrow. Can you leave it available for download for the weekend so that I can save it when back at home?
